What is DriWay and what does it do?

DriWay is an Austrian product that has been around since 1985 and has been imported into South Africa to resolve rising dampness forever. This product comes with the highest European certification, TUV Certified.

What is the difference between the conventional method of handing rising damp and your DriWay solution?

The conventional ways deal with the symptom and not the source of the problem, the conventional way masks the problem for a period of time.
Companies would remove the plaster on either side of the wall and apply a chemical waterproofing solution and re-plaster.

The other highly unadvisable solution and not recommendable is to chemically inject your walls, which is completely the wrong advice, as this is a gimmick and does not work at all. In no time the dampness will reoccur in the same place or other areas. As water is an energy and follows the next line of least resistance.

By survey, the main concerns from our clients and the public at large have been the time it takes to show results, the costs and inconvenience to the client, and the fact that this problem cannot be solved permanently and keeps coming back despite false promises of long term Guarantees!!!!!!

The simplicity of our DriWay solution is we hang a device from your ceiling which neutralizes the source of rising dampness which is caused by the energy that emanates from the ground and gets boosted in the presence of water.

This energy pushes the water up the wall and our devices use this energy, along with free energy available at all times, to push the water down and neutralize capillary action and the rising damp effects along with polarizing the water molecules, Hence our company name DriWay (Water Polarization). The building then dries out.

We are 30 years old and have over 60 000 installations in over 23 countries around the world with a 20-year guarantee on all our devices. We are the world’s only permanent solution to rising damp as we handle the source and not the symptom of the problem.

We are Even able to assist you if you have a high water table or not, or even if you are by a river or sea.

Who would use your DriWay device?

Homeowners, building owners, Facility companies, managing agents of estates or any building built from brick, stone or rock.

What happens if someone just leaves rising damp and doesn’t resolve the problem permanently?

Building structure and foundations weaken.

What are the potential health risks to wall moisture?

This is a quote from the “WHO” World Health Organization (and I quote?)

WHO is concerned about this situation because of excessive dampness and mould are a threat to health. Occupants of damp or mouldy buildings are at increased risk of experiencing health problems such as respiratory symptoms, respiratory infections, allergic rhinitis, and asthma.

Some people are more sensitive to mould than others, and some groups are especially vulnerable. Additional efforts should be made to keep away from damp and mould: Babies and children, elderly people, those with existing skin problems, such as eczema, or respiratory problems, such as allergies and asthma, and anyone who is immune-compromised (e.g.: Chemotherapy patients).

On the other hand, WHO has demonstrated that remedial action works. For example, research shows that people living in well insulated and adequately ventilated accommodation are less likely to visit their doctors or be admitted to hospital due to respiratory conditions than those living in damp homes.

What guarantees do you offer on DriWay solution?

We offer a 20 year guarantee on our device.

We offer a 100% money back guarantee within our open window period of 3 years after installation of the device, If we are unable to dry out your property from rising damp.

Out of 60 000 devices installed globally we’ve never had to give a client’s money back as we know that we have a very unique solution.

What is the procedure?

  • A qualified DriWay specialist will Assess your property ,( travel costs excluded.)
We will establish if it is rising damp or any other anomaly of moisture penetrating your property.
  • We will send you a detailed report and quote.
    • Then our technical specialist will do the installation and will take roughly 5-7 hours (make sure you have a copy of your plans on site for the purpose of the installation)
    • Should you not have a copy of your plans, DriWay will charge you R7,50 per m2 for us to prepare a rough drawing of your home for the purpose of the installation.
  • DriWay comes back after 1 year to re-drill the wall where they had drilled upon installation and do a measurement to see how the water has subsided back into the ground, DriWay then comes back again after 2 years and drill again next to the area of the wall where we had drilled and again assess how the water has subsided back into the ground.
  • All areas that are drilled would be written down and the client will have a copy and DriWay will have a copy of the moisture reports each time we come to test.
  • The 3rd year we then give you your certificate.

What will the average time be to dry out a house?

This is all dependent on the severity of moisture in the walls.
Because our humidity in south Africa is different to Europe we have experienced dry out in 1 year or slightly longer.
